Data we hold
Advise Wise stores data about:
- Our users (i.e. the customers who sign up to the Advise Wise platform)
- Our users' clients (i.e. the clients of our brokers that are using our platform)
Advise Wise does not share, or resell, any kind of user data (whether data described in point 1 or 2 above).
What We Collect
We may collect the following information:
- Your name and job title
- Contact information including email address and contact number
- Employment information including the company your authorised to advise with, their address and FCA number
- A list of mortgage clubs you are a member of
- Information from the device (device type, operating system, screen resolution, language, country, and web browser type, IP Address)
We require this information to be able to accurately provide our technical services, and in particular for the following reasons:
- Internal record keeping.
- Accurately returning the correct products via our sourcing engine.
- We may use the information to improve our products and services.
- We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
- From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Data breaches will be notified to our users within 72 hours, after having become aware of it. It is then the responsibility of our users to report this data-breach to their end-users.

Your Data, Your Rights
You have a right to be informed of Personal Data processed by Advise Wise, a right to correction/rectification, erasure and restriction of data processing. You also have the right to receive from Advise Wise a common and machine-readable format of Personal Data you provided to us.
We can only identify you via the email address you provided and we can only process your request and provide information if we have Personal Data about you through you having made contact with us directly and/or you using our site and/or service. We cannot provide, rectify or delete any data that we store on behalf of our users or customers.

Control Your Marketing Preferences
You may choose to restrict use of your personal information in the following ways:
- whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used for direct marketing purposes.
- using the account settings page in the Advise Wise application to update your email preferences. You can opt-in/out of direct marketing emails, as well as service emails related to your client's cases.
- by writing to or emailing us at support@advisewise.com. You can also unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any email communications sent from us to your email address.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.
Duration of Processing
We will store your usage data until such time when you withdraw your consent for us to do so. All other data as specified above will be retained for as long as is necessary for the purpose(s) for which we originally collected it. We may also retain information as required by law.
